This page is shared by all the local astronomy clubs, for amateur astronomers and volunteers to sign up for local events*. In particular, Astronomy At The Beach is always short on volunteers and it is a great volunteer opportunity for anyone willing to donate a few hours of their time.
*Note that most of the “Sidewalk Astronomy” events are looking for telescope owners to dedicate their time to public outreach, but there are other volunteer opportunities listed as well.
