A Night At Cranbrook

Cranbrook Observatory

GMAC will be visiting Cranbrook Institute of Science on October 16th, for a special planetarium show and exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the Cranbrook Observatory.  This event is recommended for ages 10 and up, RSVP is required.

Planetarium Show: Evolution of the Stars

Learn about the evolution of the stars, and the Sun in particular, in this energetic, informative program.  From the turbulent cauldron of their birth through the multitude of cataclysmic ways they can meet their end, discover the many untold secrets of the stars.

Behind the Scenes Observatory Tour

Join a dedicated member of the Cranbrook Exhibits Team for an exclusive, behind the scenes tour of the Cranbrook Observatory, which includes a technical overview of the controls and hardware on the 20-inch Corrected Dall-Kirkham telescope.  Weather-permitting, we will even get to see the system in action.

As always, member gift packages, merchandise orders, and equipment rentals will be available for pickup at this event.  If you would like to purchase club merchandise, please visit our Online Store.  The club telescope is currently available for loan, let me know if you would like to borrow it.
